Community Youth Initiative
Do you ever wish you had a place to go after a HS Boys Basketball home game? Friday Night Lights is an event created and sponsored by our local churches for students from Jackson Center in grades 7-12. The first event will take place this Friday, December 2nd after the game. Friday Night Lights will be held at The Family Life Center, which is across the street from the school from 9:00 to 10:30pm. Pizza, drinks and snacks will be provided along with music and games.

FFA
Congratulations to our JC-UVCC FFA Ag. Career Quiz Bowl Team. Yesterday, this team was named STATE CHAMPIONS! Team members include Zane Cutcher, Kyle Burch, Kale Barhorst, and Kaiden Geuy. Way to go guys!!"

Food Drive
Join Jackson Center-UVCC FFA for their annual Canned Food Drive! Non-perishable food items and personal hygiene items will be collected for the Fish Pond Food Pantry until Friday December 9. If we reach 1,000 items collected during that time, everyone will earn an early dismissal from school on Tuesday December 20 for the Holiday Break! Here are the top three contributors as of yesterday…
•    1st Place – 4thGrade – 77 items
•    2nd Place – 5th Grade – 68 items
•    3rd Place – Purple Racoons – 46 items
Total Items Collected so far: 429
Total Number of Items needed to reach 1,000: 571

Softball
Softball open gym will be on Sundays at 4:00pm starting December 4, in the auxiliary gym. This is open to Middle School and High School softball players.

NHS Blood Drive
Attention all students who are 16 years or older, the National Honor Society will be holding their annual blood drive on Friday, December 16, 2022 in the athletic complex.  If you are 16 years old, you need to obtain a parent permission form from Mrs. Harris and once signed and returned she will register you to donate.  If you are 17 years or older you may sign up yourself by going to www.donortime.org or see Mrs. Harris to sign up.  Also, if you donate three times you not only earn your red cord but you will also be automatically registered to win a $1000 scholarship.  Please consider donating as there is a continuous shortage of blood.  Thank you in advance for saving a life.
