Announcements - April 2

Eclipse Fact of the day: Never look at an eclipse with your eyes. You must wear special glasses. However, when the Moon completely blocks the visible surface of the Sun during a total solar eclipse, viewers can remove their eclipse glasses. A total solar eclipse is the only type of solar eclipse where eclipse glasses can be momentarily removed.  Just make sure you put your glasses back on BEFORE totality ends!

Thank you to the JC PTO for providing each student and staff member with a pair of eclipse glasses.  Be on the lookout for them to come home this week!  Also, there are extra Tiger Total Eclipse shirts available for purchase.  Please contact Sarah Kipker if you would like one.

The Jackson Center FCCLA, FFA and NHS will be joining efforts to bring joy to our neighbors at Indian Lake. We have been notified that a total of 93 students have been directly impacted by the tornadoes. While most of their immediate needs are being met we would like to do something extra to share our care and concern. We will be creating treat bags by age/grade level. The list of items needed will be sent home with all 9-12 students. The field day team that earns the most points by donating items will get extra points given to their field day team's overall score. Donations are due by April 5. Please place the donations in your team's box located in Mrs. V. Kipker’s room.

Elementary volleyball practice for girls in grades 4-6 is cancelled for today.

Attention all seniors, this is just a reminder that your senior slideshow pictures are due by Friday, April 19, 2024, by 3:00pm to Mrs. Harris.  Please send these either via email or bring a copy in for Mrs. Harris to personally scan.
