February 27 Announcements

National FFA –This week Penny War competition grades 8-12 with a goal of $400 to donate to Children’s Hospital. All coins are positive points and dollar bills of any amount are negative points. Penny jars will be in the cafeteria and Mrs. Whetstone’s classroom. Penny War update: Total $40.32; 8th = -7 pts, 10th = 512 pts, 11th = 296 pts, 12th = 473 pts. Don’t forget- ALL coins are positive points this week! Help us reach our goal in order to play dodgeball this Friday 7th and 8th period.

It's Basketball Tournament Time!  JC Varsity Boys’ play tonight at 7:30pm vs. Russia at Piqua High School. Presale tickets are on sale in the school office during regular business hours, 8:00am to 3:00pm Monday thru Friday when school is in session. Tickets are $6 each. We will receive 50% back from our ticket sales.

To increase recycling the FCCLA has placed additional bins throughout the school for your empty bottles and cans. We encourage you to “be part of the solution, not the pollution!”  

Attention students wanting to take the April National ACT test, the deadline to register for the test, without additional fee's, is Friday, February 28.  For students wanting an ACT test score for CCP purposes should plan on taking the April test.  Registration material can be found on the bulletin board outside of Mr. Reese's office.

Pre-sale tickets for $7 are now available in the office for the musical “Annie” performances next week on March 5th, 7th, and 8th. Tickets will be $9 at the door.
